The society`s objectives were "to support the Žiežmariai Jewish orphans, to create a society that will take care of their spiritual and material needs."

Additional information

The founders were the owner of the lemonade factory, Alter Strazh; storekeeper, David Kot; trader, Motel Adelson; Benjamin Motel (no profession listed); and tin man, Shimel Netz. On september 13th, 1930, a general membership meeting elected trhe society`s management: president, Alter Strazh; vice-president, David Kot; secretary, Benjamin Levin; cashier, Shimel netz; and member, Sima, daughter of Silman. Elected as candidates to the management: president, Alter Strazh; vice-president, David Kot; secretary, Benjamin Levin; cashier, Shimel Netz; and member, Sima, daughter of Silman. Elected to the review committee were: Motel Adelson; Sore, daughter of Levin; and Chaim Don. On November 25th, 1930, the society`s management asked for permission from the Trakai district director to allow the creation of an orphanage for 20 children on Žaslių Street. In 1926, the section had 15 members. 1936 it had 12 members and eventually 13 in 1937 and 1938. On September 10th, 1940, the Minister of the Interior closed the society.
