Additional information

Starting before the first World war, the association did not function anymore after it . It was recreated on June 28th, 1922. The founders and the first management members: S. Vulfovich, Zh. Sheifer, M. Kot, Sh. Azerski, N. Becker, A. Galper (president), V. Shatz and A. Aron. In 1932, the society had 50 members; of these 25 made the brigade.
There were 3 sections: entry and climbing section (15 Jews and 2 Non-Jews), motor section (4 Jews and 3 non-Jews) and the water supply and hose section (17 Jews and 3 Non-Jews). On January 1, 1939, the society had 114 members(supporters), 94 men and 20 women; of these, there were 40 Lithuanians, 2 Russians and 72 Jews. On July 25, 1940, the Minister of the Interior gave authorization to the societz to continue its activities.
