It was orginally started on April 20, 1931, when the Žasliai Jews - trader, Yeine Burshtein; pharmacist, Yodide Arane; store-owner, Morduch Shmit; trader, Shmerel Veitzshtein; store owners, Motel Kot and Faivel Rom. 1936, they had 33 members (1937 - 36 members, 1938 - 38 members - at this time there was also one female member).
